The faculty and staff at Teasley Elementary are committed to making our school a bully-free zone. During the next few weeks, the counseling lessons in Fourth and Fifth Grade classes will be based on anti-bullying webisodes found on the website listed below.
"Stop Bullying Now! is a nationwide public awareness program that informs parents, educators, and children ages 7-12 about bullying issues, while striving to teach and provide information on how to avert bullying and resolve conflicts. Stop Bullying Now! also urges children to play a key role in the prevention of bullying at their schools and other social activities and to 'Take a Stand and Lend a Hand' when they see others being bullied."

Today was the first lesson, and Mrs. Hiles' class seemed to enjoy the characters and the message. By the third webisode, the class was chanting along with the music, "Stop! Bullying! NOW!" As a class, we discussed the questions and multiple choice answers displayed at the end of each webisode.
This is a good website for kids AND parents. There are quizzes for the kids, a lot of information for parents, and many things to spark discussions within your family. If you have any questions, contact Ms. Strother.
