We have a jam packed week ahead. We will be reviewing counting back change with the fewest coins in math and the four types of productive resources (natural, human, capital and entrepreneurship) in Social Studies. The students will also be assessed on the historical figures we have learned about this nine weeks. They will be asked to explain the obstacles faced and how they were overcome by Mary Bethune, Franklin Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt. We will continue our study of the circulatory and respiratory systems and the diseases/illnesses of each as well as their preventions. We will review each genre of writing we have explored (response to literature, narrative and informational) and be introduced to persuasive writing. Wow! The students will be working hard during the day and need plenty of rest this week! Please feel free to come by to volunteer. We have a special volunteer with us on Wednesdays now. Mrs. Wellon in the mom of one of our teachers here and a former teacher herself. The students are really enjoying her attention and help. Have a great week and keep an eye on the blog for special notes I am asked to post. Thanks as always for being wonderful parents! Please check your child's homework each night and make sure they are turning it in.
