Parents, I need your cooperation in following established procedures at Teasley. Even with the improvements in the parking areas, there are still delays in the morning. Each day things are running more smoothly. Under no circumstances should students be dropped off out on Spring Hill Road. It is extremely dangerous. Please take the extra time it takes to drop your child off in the carpool lane right in front of the school.
Also, parents cannot enter the bus parking area prior to 8:00 AM. You will see teachers entering to park in those parking spaces. We are trying hard to free up parking at the front of the building for parents and visitors. Once 8:00 arrives parents can park in the bus area, but all cars must be moved prior to 1:00 to ensure that the buses can park.
We also ask that parents who are picking up their students in carpool, remain in their cars and not come into the building. This slows down the whole dismissal process. If you need to come in, you must bring your tiger ticket with you. Without the ticket, we will not release the child to you. You can get a slip from the front office stating that you were issued a tiger ticket and then you can pick up your child. Our sole goal is that the designated adult will pick up a student.
Finally, all visitors to Teasley must sign in prior to going to the classrooms or other parts of the building. This is a Cobb County School District policy. Staff members will stop and request that you return to the office and sign in. Please respect that we want your children safe.
I realize that all of these procedures might seem to complicate your life. Just know that the school works very hard to keep all children safe and to minimize disruptions to the instructional day. I appreciate your support and compliance with these procedures.
