Math Night at Publix: Thursday, Feb. 23
Math Night at Publix this Thursday, February 23rd. Stop by Publix on Cumberland Parkway anytime between 5:30 and 7:30 so your child can participate in a fun math activity with classmates and teachers. The class with the highest participation percentage will receive a class Ice Cream Party from Publix!

TEASLEY'S PURPLE PARTY

Teasley Elementary School's Purple Party will be Friday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m. at the Vinings Club. This is the school's largest fundraising event sponsored by The PAWS Foundation. It's open to anyone in the community who wishes to support Teasley. There will be dinner, dancing, and a live & silent auction. Proceeds will go to enhancements in science education. Get your babysitters lined up now because this is Teasley's best night out! Tickets are $75 couple/ $40/single. teasleypurpleparty@gmail.com for more information.

We had a great learning experience with Scientist Q from High Touch High Tech!!!!!

We started a new program called Skills Tutor.

I sent a letter home with details of how to get your child on the site. It's GREAT!!! It helps with all skills.

Red Ribbon Week

Next week is Red Ribbon Week 2011!  Teasley will celebrate by promoting healthy lifestyle choices and encouraging students to stay away from drugs and unhealthy choices.  We want this week to be fun and educational, so we encourage families to use this opportunity to discuss these topics with their children.  Click on the websites below for tips about talking with kids about these serious issues. 

 

In addition to daily announcements on the Teasley Town News about healthy eating choices, exercise, and drug awareness, we encourage students to participate in these activities: 

Monday: We Pledge to be Drug-Free! – All students will sign a class pledge, promising to be drug-free

Tuesday: Sock it to Drugs! – Students may wear their favorite “crazy” socks or mismatched socks to school

Wednesday: Put a Cap on Drugs! – Students may wear a hat or cap to school

Thursday: Red Ribbon Day – Students should wear a red shirt

Friday: Team Up Against Drugs – Students may wear a shirt that shows they have better things to do than drugs!  It can be a sports team shirt, a Boy/Girl Scouts shirt, another club/activity shirt, or of course, a Teasley shirt!
