Winter Coat Donation Drive

Teasley's GIRLS Club is sponsoring a Winter Coat Drive from 11/17/09-12/11/09. They will be donated to a local shelter for battered women and children.

If you would like to donate a gently used coat, you may deposit it into one of the donation boxes. They are located in the front, 1st grade, and kindergarten hallways.

Teasley Is Recognized For Its Excellence!

We are proud to announce that Teasley ES has been recognized as a Georgia School of Excellence!

We were recognized in the category of distinction as one of the schools with the greatest continuous gains in student achievement in reading and mathematics (as measured by assessments). Schools chosen for this category must:

• Meet Adequate Yearly Progress for at least three consecutive years,
• Meet or exceed state mean scores in Science and Social Studies
• Not be considered a "Persistently Dangerous School" under the Unsafe School Choice Option of No Child Left Behind
• Have 100 percent of the teaching staff meet Georgia’s ‘highly qualified’ standards.
• Be in existence for at least 5 years

We are very proud of our staff and students for earning this distinction of excellence and hope that you are as proud as well.

Teasley families: Do you have great photos from school events?  Have you taken pictures in your child's classroom during a special celebration?  The 2009-2010 yearbook is underway, and yearbook committee would love to use your photos!  Email them to teasleyphotos@gmail.com.  The committee is waiting for your "Kodak moments!"

Here is a list of suggested items your child may need for school.  The purchase of these items is optional. Specific teachers may request additional supplies once the school year begins.
