We need students to wear the yellow class t-shirts on THURSDAY and FRIDAY.
This week, we have Field Day on Thursday. Students should wear their yellow class t-shirts with athletic shorts and tennis shoes. There will be water activities! Students may bring water bottles. Please apply sunscreen at home before arriving at school.
Please remember to sign up to help with Field Day on Thursday if you are available and plan to attend.

Friday is our field trip to the Georgia Capital Museum and The Varsity. Students should wear their yellow class t-shirts again, along with standard attire bottoms and comfortable shoes. We will leave Teasley around 9:15 and return around 1:45. Parents who are chaperoning, please meet us at Teasley to follow buses at 9:00 or at the Capital at 9:45.
Invitations are going home today for our Awards Day. We will have 3rd grade Awards in the cafeteria on Wednesday, May 15. If your child is receiving an award, you will receive an invitation for that today. If your student is not receiving an academic award, you are invited to join us at 9:10 on May 15 in our classroom for our Superlative Awards and End of the Year celebration (invitations for this event are coming home today, as well). Mrs. Bates and I will provide refreshments.
It's going to be a fabulous week!

Just a reminder that the pink permission forms are due by Friday for the GA Capital Museum/Varsity field trip on May 10. We have to order the lunch vouchers so we need payment of $12 and the forms back so that we can be ready for The Varsity. Students who do not turn this in by Friday will not be able to purchase a lunch from The Varsity. Students who would like to bring a lunch from home will just need to pay $4 for the trip. Please let me know ASAP if your child needs another permission form.

Milestones Testing begins on Tuesday. We know that our students are going to ROCK the test! Just a reminder to send in 5 notes for us to pass out to your child each day that we test (please send in on Monday). The notes can be short with a quote or a little message or a letter (your choice). We love seeing the students open up the notes each morning. They seem to relax and feel comforted knowing that they are loved and supported.
The testing schedule is :

Wednesday (4/24) and Thursday (4/25)- Math
The sign-up for snacks looks great! Here is the link in case you need it again. Thank you all for your help and support!
