Teasley Elementary School Counseling
Mission Statement
The mission of Teasley Elementary School’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program is to provide a developmental counseling program that addresses the academic, career, and personal/social needs of all students. School counselors, in partnership with other educators, parents, and the community, assist in overcoming barriers that impede learning. Our goal is to provide a program in a challenging, safe, and nurturing environment that fosters a desire in our students to become lifelong learners.
Teasley school counselors believe:
- All students are unique.
- All students can achieve.
- All students deserve a nurturing environment to reach their highest potential.
Teasley’s school counseling program should:
- Reach every student
- Be developmental and preventative in design
- Be conducted in collaboration with all stakeholders
Teasley school counselors will:
- Abide by the professional school counseling standards and ethics as advocated by the American School Counselor Association
- Strive to remove barriers to learning
- Collaborate with educators, families, and the community
- Participate in professional development activities essential to maintaining a quality school counseling program
