• Don't forget Bingo Night is January 31st at 6:15 pm.

• Spirit Night: February 7th at Los Bravos

• Save The Date! One of our most popular events at Teasley is our International Night. This year's International Night will be on March 3rd from 6:30-8:30 pm. If your family is interested in representing a country at the event, email Beth Seelinger at [email protected].

• Don't forget about Birthday Grams! For a $20 donation to the Teasley PAWS Foundation, your child’s name will be announced on the Teasley Morning News, posted on the marquee in front of the school and included on the TV monitors throughout the school for all their friends to see. If your child has a summer birthday, get a Birthday Gram for their half birthday. They need to be submitted by Thursday evening, the week before their birthday. There are forms in the front office or visit http://www.teasleytigers.com/birthday-grams to purchase them.

• Join your Teasley Tigers with the Atlanta Hawks on March 5^th as they take on the Indiana Pacers. Please note that you will order through and receive your tickets directly from the Atlanta Hawks. Please see attached flyer for details and order instructions. You can also visit www.hawks.com/schoolfundraising. 
• Save The Dates for other Teasley Sports Events: Atlanta United (Major League Soccer), April 30th; Atlanta Braves, May 7th

• i9 Sports is one of Teasley's Partners in Education. Please see attached flyer for information on registering for their Winter Break Camp and Spring Programs. If you register by January 27th, you can save up to $30. Registration ends February 10th.

A few clarifications in regards to our Field Trip:

 

• Scholarship Application Form’s due date has been extended from January 20^th until January 31^st.

• The 5^th Grade teachers will be having a meeting with parents in February regarding further details.

Cost: $185.00 per student (extra $5 for PayPal payment)

• Payable to Teasley PTA (memo/for: 5th grade trip with student name & ID #)

• $25 deposit due Sept. 9th to secure spot (NON-REFUNDABLE)

• Payment plans and scholarship forms are available

         $150.00 per chaperone- volunteers

• Payable to Teasley PTA (memo/for: 5th grade trip as chaperone)

• Stay in cabins but have separate sleeping rooms

This trip includes:

• Class Shirt (will be given out in January)

• Transportation on buses to and from camp

• 2 nights lodging- cabin/dorms with bunk beds

• 7 meals- Fortson is a nut-free facility and accommodated dietary needs

• Environmental Education Program consisting of 9 classes

  • 6 day classes, 2 hours per class- including zip-line, rock wall, pond ecology, farm to plate​

  • 3 night classes, 1 hour per class- including sensory awareness, Native American games, campfire

World War II Project

Hi Parents!

By now you should have been told about your child's WWII project. Each student has been given a detailed description of the expectations. To summarize, the students have been asked to select:

 

1. One major role player in WWII
2. One battle of WWII
3. One even that occurred during WWII
4. One group (optional)

The students are to conduct research on the top 3. Once there research and collection of information is complete, a final product in the form of one of the following below needs to be submitted. With teacher approval, another option can be chosen.

Powerpoint/Keynote

Glog

Website

Poster/Diorama

Map

Newspaper

 

Interview/Skit

Song/Poem

The students should also plan a brief presentation to present to the class. In their presentation each student will share their final product and what they learned about their product. The due date for the final product is February 17th. The students will present on February 28th.
